The
Summer Program consists of two monthly sessions in June and
July. The program offers a variety of activities and a change
from the normal Montessori routine. The summer sessions include
a range of fun and stimulating outdoor activities, on site field
trips, water days, cooking lessons, and arts and crafts
activities in addition to the continuation of your child’s
academic enrichment. The program continues to develop your
child’s academic, physical and social skills.
With the choice of a half day or full day
program, parents have the flexibility to plan an active,
exciting, and educational summer for their child. Montessori
Children’s House’s summer programs are open to children ages 18
months to three years half day and children three to six years
of age either half
or full day.
Our
summer camp is limited in the number of children attending both
in the toddler and preschool/kindergarten classrooms. The small
class size allows us to provide a relaxed and entertaining
environment for your child. The classes can be used for care
throughout the summer or for a short session of enrichment
during either of the two summer sessions.
Children
entering into the toddler or preschool classrooms for the first
time during the summer sessions with smaller class sizes are
afforded an easier transition with time to adapt to their new
surroundings. These summer sessions with smaller
enrollment offer the children an undemanding orientation into
the new curriculum and classroom environment they will soon
enter into in the fall.
