Montessori Children’s House is fortunate
to have an active and productive Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The
Parent Teacher organization provides opportunities for additional
parent/teacher and parent/parent communication and provides a forum for
leadership development, information exchange, discussion and action on
issues affecting the students at Montessori Children’s House.
The Parent Teacher Organization is
comprised of a group of concerned and dedicated parents (along with long
term dedicated Montessori teachers) who volunteer their time throughout
the school year and who want to do all they can to make Montessori
Children's House and its teachers, staff, and students the best they can
be. The Montessori Children's House PTO has a place for parents who
want to be involved coordinating events and activities, either in the
school or from home. Periodic PTO meetings will be scheduled and
announced throughout the year.
The PTO members organize the monthly bake sales, supervise the school
fund raising event, choose and schedule appropriate on-site school field
trips, sponsor special projects (especially during holidays), and
volunteer their time when needed for school events.
Profits
from the PTO events are used for the monthly in school field trips
and to purchase “extras” for the children throughout the year to improve
the overall quality of their school experience.
All parents are encouraged to get
involved in our school’s Parent Teacher Organization.
Participation is optional, but all involved help to shape and improve
the future enhancement of your child’s education and his school. It's
your chance to have a voice in many decisions that affect your child and
his school. Parents, teachers and staff can work together to address
issues such as school events, appropriate field trips, the school
yearbook, fund raising, and in general forming a bond between school and
home.
