1. Practical Life

Exercises in care of the environment and care of the child are practiced daily. Emphasis is placed on performing everyday tasks using movement and coordination.

2. Sensorial Life

Materials and exercises designed to develop the child's sensorial perception are utilized. The child develops a keener eye for discrimination of contrasts and minute details of differences and gradations.

3. Mathematics

Skills are developed in learning number concepts and sequences, addition, multiplication, subtraction, division, fractions, telling time and other math related areas.

4. Language Arts

Emphasis is placed on developing a strong phonics background, correct grammatical structure, vocabulary development and reading. Workbooks are utilized in conjunction with readers to enhance developing reading skills.

5. Enrichment

Various areas of Science, Geography, Botany, Art and Music are studied. The attractive Montessori materials allow children to explore each subject at their own pace and style.

6. Physical Development

Attention is placed on a daily emphasis on fine and gross motor skills, exercises, developing coordination and outdoor recreation.
   
 

The program helps the child to perfect his or her natural skills for learning so that his or her ability will be at a maximum in future learning situations.

The purpose of the Montessori materials is for the child to develop his concentration, coordination and positive working habits in preparation for his future learning experiences.
